How the payment is calculated
A fixed-payment term loan uses standard amortization: each payment covers that month's interest plus part of the principal, so the payment stays level and the balance falls to zero at the end of the term.
The calculator applies the monthly rate (annual rate divided by 12) to the remaining balance. Early payments are mostly interest; later payments are mostly principal. A longer term lowers the payment but raises total interest.
Compare the result with your monthly cash left after costs. See how much of revenue can go to loan payments for a quick test.
What to compare between two offers
Compare total cost of borrowing, not just the payment: interest over the full term plus every upfront fee.
Two offers with the same payment can cost very different amounts if one has a longer term or a larger origination fee. Use the offer comparison worksheet to line them up, and read how ROI Funder term loans work.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result an approval or a quote?
No. It is a planning estimate. Your rate and term depend on your revenue, time in business, credit and the funder that makes the offer.
Does checking my options affect my credit?
Applying with ROI Funder uses a soft credit pull, so it does not affect your credit score.
